The 21st February is a memorable day in our national history. On that day many Bangalees laid down their lives for the mother tongue. Every year we remember those martyrs. The UNESCO has announced 21st February as the International Mother Language day to be observed globally in acknowledgment of the sacrifices of the martyrs for establishing the rightful place of Bengali Language. Those who have laid down their lives for the mother tongue are immortal.
